Help organize material donations from our generous community for distribution to residents of Faith Mission and CHOICES shelters. Volunteers also assemble various kits for clients transitioning into shelter or into permanent housing.
First time volunteering at Faith Mission? Please view our orientation video to learn more about Faith Mission and your impact as a volunteer. Then read our volunteer guidelines, attached below.
Want to take on a leadership role? We also need Lead Volunteers! Lead Volunteers are trained to oversee the donation intake process, receive donations from community members, and supervise other volunteers as needed. Lead volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to commit to a minimum of one volunteer shift per month. If you'd like to become a Lead Volunteer, click "contact organizer" on the left to sign up for a training session with the volunteer manager.
Interested in scheduling a shift for your group? Please contact us! We can be flexible to meet your availability and team size!
Need to know
- We are unable to offer court ordered community service hours.
- The donation center is located in our basement. This space is not ADA accessible and requires walking down a flight of stairs.
- Please wear closed toe shoes for safety.
The donation center is located at Faith Mission, 217 N Grant Avenue. Please see the attached the map and enter at the donation center door located off McKee Alley (purple triangle on map). Thank you!
